- To ensure the safety and well-being of all children and vulnerable adults involved in our activities.
- To provide clear guidelines for staff, volunteers, and stakeholders on safeguarding responsibilities.
- To prevent and respond effectively to incidents of harm, abuse, or neglect.
Responsibilities
- All staff, volunteers, and stakeholders must adhere to this policy.
- A designated Safeguarding Officer is appointed to oversee and address safeguarding concerns.
- All incidents must be reported and handled with confidentiality and urgency.
Procedures
- Training and Awareness: All staff and volunteers receive regular safeguarding training to recognize and respond to concerns appropriately.
- Reporting Concerns: Safeguarding concerns should be reported to the designated officer immediately. Serious cases may be referred to external authorities, such as social services or the police.
- Safe Recruitment Practices: We ensure thorough background checks and vetting for all staff and volunteers working with young people.
- Monitoring and Review: This policy is reviewed annually to ensure compliance with legal and best practice standards.
